Kyna (pronounced “Keena”) Hampton is fervent about honoring and supporting you as you grow. Her giftedness for developing meaningful rapport helps create a nurturing atmosphere for clients to explore change and find emotional strength.
Kyna earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Huntington University, and she holds Indiana State licensure as a mental health counselor. Additionally, Kyna is one of the few practitioners in the area who holds additional training and specialization in Post-partum and Maternal Mental Health disorders. Her practice is holistic in nature, she works with adults, couples, and adolescents in a variety of treatment modalities, including Attachment-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered, Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt, and Family Systems. She has recently completed her training for EMDR. She helps with distress in areas of trauma, abuse, neglect, bi-polar, anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, post-partum challenges, and marriage and parenting concerns.
Kyna is a committed Christian both personally and professionally, and she incorporates a faith-based perspective into counseling sessions for those who request it. In addition to being a professional counselor, she enjoys many roles including those of mother (of both adoptive and biological children), sister, friend, impromptu dancer, yoga enthusiast, nature lover, coffee aficionado, and hot sauce expert.
