Charlotte is passionate about her work as a therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and believes that providing a safe, trusting, and caring environment is of the utmost importance in the healing process. She believes that no matter what challenges one has faced in life, healing and wholeness is always possible.
A committed Christian, Charlotte offers Christian counseling to those interested in incorporating this perspective in their therapy. With more than 20 years experience in the mental health field, Charlotte brings a variety of strengths and experience to CJantzen & Associates.
In 1997, she began her work in the inpatient psychiatric setting at Parkview Behavioral Health, working with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health concerns. For ten years, Charlotte also worked in the local middle and high school setting as a mental health counselor, where she provided crisis intervention and debriefings as well as counseling. In addition, Charlotte has several years of experience in medical social work, working with those families in grief, or those patients in phases of death and dying. She spent months in her internship teaching rape awareness and providing rape crisis counseling.
Charlotte began her private practice experience in 2002, and has spent the past 17 years working with families, adolescents and individuals who are survivors of rape or physical and sexual abuse, or who struggle with grief, loss, trauma, difficult relationships, and depression and anxiety.
Charlotte is licensed in the state of Indiana as a Clinical Social Worker. She received her Masters in Social Work at IUPUI in Indianapolis. She completed her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Purdue Fort Wayne.
